In honour of World Food Day celebrated on 16 October, students in the Senior Divisions have been collecting donations for the Chelmsford Foodbank. The Foodbank serves our local community, with nearly 7,500 3-day emergency food supplies handed out last year. This morning, students and staff representatives of New Hall’s Eco Council delivered over 600 items to the Foodbank, bringing the total donations to 256 kilograms of food and toiletries.

Year 13 student Isabella commented, “It is so lovely to be able to give back to the community and help.” As Head of Bakhita House, Isabella has been promoting the appeal among her fellow students, raising awareness of the importance of the cause. New Hall’s effort and involvement in the local community have recently been recognised in the 2024 ISA Awards, as finalists for Outstanding Community Engagement.
