“We started the trip with a Segway tour around the monuments in Washington D.C. and luckily we all returned in one piece…apart from Mr Bowman who after losing a race to Mr Pollard up the steps to the Lincoln memorial, left the city with a very bruised ego! The most memorable moment in New York was going to the Empire State Building at night, where we all saw the breathtaking views. We also had the chance to visit Citibank, meeting with traders and venture capitalists and discuss the state of the US economy and volatility in the markets. We visited the London Stock Exchange Group where we met New Hallian Alice Talbut and her colleagues, who held a careers panel for us. We would like to say a huge thank you to all the teachers who took time out of their half-term break to come with us, and a special thank you to Miss Walters for organising this unforgettable trip for us.”
