New Hall Golfers clinch top prizes in ISGA Schools Cup and Junior Schools Cup competitions

New Hall School golfers have been crowned winners of the national Independent Schools Golf Association (ISGA) Junior Schools Cup, at Sunningdale Heath Golf Club, and ISGA Schools Cup Nett Winners, at Collingtree Park.
The talented junior team, comprised of New Hall students Henry Styles (Year 8) and Freddie Warn (Year 9), picked up the Trophy, Medals and Abacus belts at the event hosted by the Independent Schools Golf Association. Henry also came 2nd in the Individual competition. The Senior team, composed of Ben Carson (Year 12), Oliver Warn (Year 10) and Freddie Warn (Year 9), also excelled.
The team were ISGA Cup Nett winners, with Ben Carson also finishing as runner up for the Individual Nett Prize. Kevin Searle, Head of Golf, said: “Congratulations to the New Hall golfers for their success in the ISGA Junior and Schools Cup competitions. Their hard work in preparation for the tournaments has paid off. They have competed against some extremely talented teams and I am really proud of their success.”
Golf is a very popular sporting choice among New Hall students, who enjoy a wide ranging co-curricular programme. Fixtures and tournaments take place during midweek games sessions for those who have been selected to represent the school in all age groups. Each team and individual has a challenging fixture programme that allows them to compete against some of the best teams in the country.
