New Hall Come Dancing
Date Posted: Friday 15 December 2023
On Friday 8 December, we held our third annual New Hall Come Dancing charity event. The inter-house competition for a good cause, this time raising money for the local Helen Rollason Cancer Charity, saw students exhibiting incredible moves, showmanship, talent, and dedication, as well as brilliant cheers for each other. Congratulations to Romero House, who claimed first prize in what proved to be a very tough competition.
It is hard to mention stand out performances, as they all blew our audience away, however it was the surprise at the end of the evening that had one student saying, ‘I don’t know what to do about this. This has changed my life.’ The surprise performance in question had members of our Senior Leadership Team dancing the night away and sharing their ‘Kenergy’ with us, all dressed in Barbie and Ken-inspired outfits. After seeing our Principal dancing in full pink rodeo Barbie attire, including blond wig, one thing is for certain – New Hall is far from your average school.
The event raised just under £2,000 for charity, and we are grateful to all of our dancers for giving it their all, and our packed audience who supported this cause and our dancers in such great spirits.
