To celebrate Foundation Day on 8 October, in time-honoured tradition, we held our much-loved Vertical House Singing Competition under our Walkfares Canopy. This year, despite a few changes to the programme set up, students have been enthusiastically learning lyrics to their selected house songs on the theme of their house saints.

Newly renamed Houses, Acutis, Augustine, Bakhita, Miki, Romero and Teresa, certainly brought their own special brand of musical creativity to the stage! We enjoyed offerings from Bon Jovi, JLS and The Monkees to name but three. It was not only the singing that impressed the judges, but also the colour, choreography and sheer energy that every house displayed. Congratulations to all the performers, but special mentions go to the winners- Romero House!

We are incredibly grateful to our Heads of Vertical Houses, Mrs Molina, Miss Frost, Dr Thomas, Mr Crosby, Miss Walet and Miss Clifforth who have expertly led their respective House rehearsals this term and all of our Sixth Form student House Captains and Vice Captains who have worked tirelessly to encourage and support the younger students in this first major house event of the academic year.
