A Level & GCSE Results 2022
After a two-year hiatus, students across the country returned to externally-assessed GCSEs and A Levels in 2022. It was the first time that any of them had sat external exams and, at New Hall, the exam results were truly something to be celebrated.
At A Level, our 116 ‘stellar’ students achieved 81% of grades at A*-B and a 100% success rate overall. A number of students were awarded 100% in some papers. A notable 75% of students were successful in securing a place at their first choice university including Head Girl, Olivia Khattar, and Head Boy, William Bidwell, who are Cambridge and Oxford-bound respectively. Deputy Head Girl Niamh Wright will also be heading to Oxford and Deputy Head Boy, Jack Peffer, is going to Durham.
There were notable successes in STEM subjects as well as Economics, Theology, History, French, Latin and Classical Greek. Read more detailed information about the 2022 A Level results.
GCSE students were rewarded for their hard work with some superb results. The 120+ girls and boys, who are educated in single-sex classes, gained 8+ grades – equivalent to an A*- in 40% of their exams and one fifth of exams were awarded the top grade of 9. STEM subjects such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Psychology are a popular choice for these students entering our Sixth Form. Read more about 2022 GCSE results.
