Third Consecutive Team GB Selection for Millie

Date Posted: Friday 21 February 2025

It has been another succesful ski season for Year 11 skier Millie Pietrzak, with outstanding performances across multiple disciplines. Following her success in races earlier in January, Millie was selected for the British Children’s Ski Team for the third consecutive year—a remarkable achievement that highlights her consistent performance at the national level.

Millie will be competing with the team in International Children’s Races for the season. Most recently, this selection entailed races in a highly competitive U16 Giant Slalom event in the 63rd Ski Interkriterium International Race in Czechia. Facing a strong field of racers from 15 nations, Millie performed brilliantly. In the Slalom event, she was positioned 3rd after the first run, finishing 8th overall after her second run. It was a fantastic experience in a prestigious international competition, reinforcing her ability to compete against top young skiers worldwide.

Millie started her skiing journey in the New Hall Preparatory Divisions, and has been part of the New Hall team which won the British Interschool Ski Challenge two years in a row in 2022 and 2023, as well as being the U16 winner in the Giant Slalom and silver medallist in the Slalom in the British Schoolgirls’ Races in 2024. Her commitment to both individual and team competitions showcases her dedication to the sport and her ability to adapt to different race environments. Straight after her races in Czechia with Team GB, Amelia travelled to France to join the New Hall Ski Team for the 2025 edition of the British Schoolgirls’ Races, where she earned multiple podium placements.

The New Hall Ski Team trains on Saturdays at our local dry ski slope, complemented by seasonal training camps and trips to the Alps. Follow the team on Instagram for the latest news and results: https://www.instagram.com/newhallski/
