New Hall School has been ‘Highly Commended’ in the category of ‘Outstanding Sport in a Large School’ for the Independent Schools Association (ISA) Awards 2023.

This comes following an exceptional academic year full of successes across our broad range of sports here, culminating in a sensational trip in summer 2023 to South Africa for our netballers, golfers, and hockey players. New Hall has also recently achieved the prestigious School Games ‘Platinum’ Mark Award for the for the 2022/2023 academic year.

A notable aspect in New Hall’s submission was the importance of integrating year groups, where Prep and Senior athletes can inspire and motivate each other, as well as compete together; for example, at the British Interschools Championship for Skiing, where New Hall won in both 2022 and 2023, as well as the European Skiing Championships, were New Hall came third – an incredible feat considering we are based in the East of England and train largely on dry slopes, yet were competing against Swiss schools with snowy mountains on their doorstep!

Thank you to the Heads of Sports, teachers, coaches, parents – and, of course, the students themselves – for all their hard work and dedication. We are very excited to see what this year brings for Sport as a whole, both in our Prep Divisions and across the School.
