How to find New Hall School

By Road: There are two main entrances to New Hall School, via Beaulieu Parkway Bridge (formerly Generals Lane Bridge) through Generals Lane to The Avenue, and via Remembrance Avenue in Beaulieu. Satellite navigation systems could take you to either entrance when using our postcode CM3 3HS.

Please note that the White Hart Lane entrance is closed until further notice due to the works on the adjacent Railway Station.

For access via Beaulieu Parkway Bridge, from the A12 (London or Ipswich) leave at Junction 19. At the roundabout, take the third exit across the bridge. Following the bridge, take the  first exit at the roundabout towards Generals Lane, a right at the fork and then take the first left at the gate into New Hall Lane. Follow the road towards The Avenue and the front of School.

The North Gate allows much easier access to New Hall from Beaulieu, Little Waltham and Braintree. Its postcode for sat-navs is CM1 6FU, or alternatively you can use its What3words reference: ///echo.cake.times.

By Rail: Chelmsford railway station is a short drive from New Hall School. It is on the main London to Norwich line. Chelmsford is just 30 minutes from London Liverpool Street. Trains run every few minutes during peak times. A new station at the bottom of the Avenue is due to open in 2025, connecting New Hall School directly to London and surrounding areas.

By Air: London Stansted and London Southend airports are within 40 minutes drive of New Hall. Gatwick and Heathrow airports are around 1 hour 30 minutes drive away. All London airports have regular flights from around the UK, Europe and international destinations.
